29 August 2017

The annual CVQO Leadership Course is taking place in Somerset on

23 - 27 October 2017!

It's time to start thinking if you want to take part ....

What is it?
The week-long residential course is free and open to cadets of all services - Army, Sea, Air, Police, Fire, St John Ambulance, CCF etc.
Places are extremely limited with space for only 48 cadets - however if we're oversubscribed, as we were in 2016, we may increase the number of available places.

During the course, cadets will complete an exciting programme of physical leadership and teamwork tasks as well as an ILM Level 3 qualification in Leadership and Management.

They'll be led by expert instructors from Outposts for the practical components, with CVQO staff delivering the course content.

I'm interested, what next?

To be eligible, nominated cadets must:

  • Be over 17 and under 19 on 1 September 2017

  • Have passed a Level 2 qualification in English (eg. GCSE or equivalent)

  • Be able to swim 50 metres in light clothing

The application process will open in early September. Detachment Commanders will be able to nominate one first choice cadet and two reserves, so speak to them asap.

All cadets must also submit a signed consent form from their parent or guardian for the application to be valid.
