Special Appointment for Pwllheli Army Cadet

Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwynedd Mr Edmund Bailey Esq  has appointed Pwllheli Army Cadet Rhian Tyne as a Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet for 2018.  As a Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets Rhian will spend a year in the role and they received a distinctive badge to mark the appointment. It will be worn on uniform at official events, such as civic ceremonies, Royal visits, parades and Remembrance events.

Rhian will have a busy year as in addition to her Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet duties and her involvement is detachment activities she has been selected to take part in the Lord Dannatt Round Britain Challenge which takes place in August.  Setting off from London, the ship will visit the capital cities of Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff as it travels around the coast of Britain, before finally ending the voyage back in London. Rhian will be taking part in final leg from Cardiff to London.

However, all of the cadets involved are required to raise funds towards the cost of the voyage. Over the coming months Rhian will be carrying out various fund raising activities and organising events to raise awareness of the Jubilee Sailing Trust and Lord Dannatt Challenge.

If you are able to help Rhian would be very grateful for your support.  https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/rhian-tyne
