First iDEA Bronze Award presented to Clwyd and Gwynedd Army Cadet.
The award certificate was presented by Maj Gavin Jones on the recent Albuhera Company training weekend to Cadet Sarmi Razavi from Rossett Detachment
The Duke of York Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award (iDEA) is an international programme that helps you develop digital, enterprise and employability skills for free. Through our series of online challenges, you can win career-enhancing badges, unlock new opportunities and, ultimately, gain industry recognised awards that help you stand out from the crowd.
Learners undertake badges (modules) in 5 categories to earn enough points for the award, choosing from: Citizen (cyber security, GDPR etc.), Worker (using programmes, design), Maker (coding), Entrepreneur (advertising, making money online etc.) and Gamer (design).
Clwyd and Gwynedd CIS Officer SMI Liam Mooney reports “there's currently Bronze and Silver levels with the Gold award due to launch later this year. Within the Army Cadet Force it's being used in conjunction with the Cyber First courses, we currently have 17 members of C&G registered - 3 adults and 14 cadets.
Maj Gavin Jones said “he was extremely proud of Cadet Razavi for taking the time to complete the award online, an excellent achievement.”
