Caernarfon Army Cadet Selected To Coach Youngsters In Kenya.

Corporal Kieran Pritchard (16) from Caernarfon has been chosen to represent Wales in a sporting trip to Kenya in October. Kieran is a keen sportsman and is also an active member of the Clwyd and Gwynedd Corps of Drums. Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen student Kieran can often be found helping with coaching youth football and within the Army Cadets. He has been selected to join a national trip to Kenya where as well as working on schools projects he will be helping Kenyan youngsters develop their football skills.

Kieran said “This is an incredible opportunity for me and I’ve been chosen to represent Wales for the Army Cadet Force. I will be travelling to Kenya as part of the football team in order to work with local communities to start football academies. We will also be working with local schools on water projects as well embarking onto a safari in order to assist with the conservation of animals over there.” He added “I am ecstatic to be chosen for this experience and will work hard to ensure I represent the Army Cadets to the highest standard over in Kenya.”
