Swanbourne Endeavour 2017

24 October 2017

This weekend cadets and adults from Bucks ACF were out in force at local mud run ‘The Swanbourne Endeavour’. The Endeavour is a cross-country endurance race with plenty of mud, water and obstacles thrown in! Our competitors pushed themselves to the limit to complete the gruelling 5km course in spite of the biting wind! 6 cadets and 6 adults completed the race, working together and helping each other through the course.

Our support team of cadets and adults were also busy handing out foil blankets at the finish line and supporting marshals on the obstacles in the ‘Trafalgar Zone’

The endeavour aims to help three Armed Services charities local to Buckinghamshire and two local medical charities. The charities supported are SSAFA, The Royal British Legion, The Bucks Services Charites, Medical Detection Dogs and The Puzzle Centre. All support staff for the event are volunteers, like our cadets and every penny raised (after costs) goes to the charities above.

Congratulations to all our competitors for completing the course, not forgetting all the cadets and staff who helped out on the day.
