Corporal Courtney leaves Cadets at 18

20 February 2020

Corporal Courtney Powdrill 'retires' from Cadets as she reaches 18 years old.

Courtney is the most decorated cadet that many will know. In the 6 years as a cadet she has achieved following awards:

The Humane Society for Bravery

St Johns Everyday hero award

British Citizen’s youth award BCYA
(she can put these letters after her name)

She was invited to Harry and Meghan's Royal Wedding

She turned on the Christmas lights in Luton

Capt Price gave a moving recount of what Courtney did to achieve the awards, he was very moved to receive as a gift from her a characature drawing of himself which apparently is a very good likeness.

Detachment Commander SI Carly Cowell said " Cpl Powdrill is an example of what can be achieved in the ACF and demonstrates the value of the training it provides. She is a fantastic role model."

Si Tina Winch, also an award winner, attended to wish Courtney well in her next adventures in life, turning her life towards the medical profession and is hoping to get into either the Army or the RAF in nursing.

Good luck in your next chapter from all at Beds & Herts ACF
