Zooming through Adult Development!
Adult Instructors have been keeping on top of their own development throughout the lockdowns by attending a whole host of training that has been offered virtually.
Virtual Adult Training
We all know that it’s important to keep in touch and up-to-date, and so for that reason the Adult Development Team, now a part of the newly formed Waterloo Training Company, have devised bespoke packages of support.
Last weekend saw a range of training on offer, with specialised sessions for those adults new to the Army Cadet Force - our PIs (Probationary Instructors). During the weekend they took part in varying informative and fun aspects of training, including learning (or revising) how to salute. We managed to capture a little of it on video, and think they’re doing brilliantly! This means, of course, that when we get back to face-to-face training, they’ll be much further along their training pathway, and know what to do when in a situation where they need to salute!
We must also offer congratulations to two of our Adult Instructors who were promoted during the virtual training. SI Kate Elmore-Smith is now an AUO (Adult Under Officer), which means that she has decided to take the first step towards becoming an Officer, and will undergo additional specialised training before attending the Officer Commissioning Board at Westbury. Ken Griffiths has also been promoted to Sergeant Instructor.
There are many opportunities on offer for those who have some time to spare and would like to give a little back. Why not get in touch to find out more about what we do? You never know, we might be just what you’re looking for!
