At the recent Greater Manchester High Sheriff's Young Citizen of the Year Award Ceremony, one of our cadets was announced as the Young Citizen of the Year Runner Up.
Cadet Codie McKellar of No 3 (Somme) Company was nominated by his Headteacher for being a shining example to other students at Spring Brook Academy in Failsworth.
In attendance at the Award evening was our Hon Col Sharman Birtles MBE JP DL, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester. Hon Col Sharman Birtles spoke with Cadet McKellar and congratulated him on his well deserved award.
Well done Cadet McKellar from everyone at Greater Manchester ACF.
