A huge congratulations to our three newly appointed Company 2ICs' (Second in Command), Lieutenant Jennifer Crawford, Lieutenant Amy Phipps and 2Lt Sonja Buchanan.

The three Officers who started their new roles this month, have all previously been Detachment Commanders during their time with Merseyside ACF and are not only experienced but also very motivated.

Officer Commanding - 4 Company, Major Richardson (ACF) has said on the appointment of Lt Crawford as 2IC of 4 Company.

"Having worked with Lt Crawford on many occasions at County level I’m incredibly pleased to have the opportunity to command 4 company with her support as training officer, Lt Crawford’s many years experience with MACF will be invaluable to 4 company in the coming months on our return to face to face training."

3 Company, Officer Commanding Major Vernon (ACF) has said of Lt Phipps appointment as 3 Company 2IC

"After a really competitive selection process, It gives me great pleasure in appointing Lt Amy Phipps as the 2IC of 3 Company. I am very much looking forward to working closely with her as we return to face to face training and moving 3 Company forward."

Captain Taylor-Rudd (ACF), Officer Commanding 1 Company said when asked about 2Lt Buchanan's 2IC appointment:

"I Couldn’t be prouder of 2Lt Buchanan on her appointment as 1 Company 2IC. Her hard work and commitment during the recent lockdown has been inspiring! I look forward to working closely with 2Lt Buchanan during her tenure."
