Over the weekend of 28/29 November 2020, a virtual Detachment Commanders Training Package was trialed by A Company. The training covered all elements of successfully commanding a detachment including Detachment Administration, Leadership, Managing Detachment Accounts, and Westminster training.
We asked AUO Boyce from A Company what she thought of the training weekend.
"This weekend my staff and I took part in a pilot virtual DC training package put together by SSI Thorpe and delivered by herself and 2Lt Troughton. I myself have been the DC of East Hull for over a year now so I thought I knew everything but thanks to this weekend’s training I know a lot more and I’m more confident with how and what I’m doing in the office, of course, I didn’t have to attend but I’m so very happy I did. The course itself was run smoothly with plenty of time for questions and for the information to sink in. I personally cannot thank them enough for the time and effort put in to make our lives easier."
