This year’s fundraising efforts from the cadets and adults of Tiverton Detachment have included sponsored endurance events, including sponsored runs undertaken by the Detachment, alongside an impressive sponsored ‘TAB’ (military march) undertaken solo by the Detachment Commander, Mark Sanders, who was himself recognised with a British Empire Medal in the previous New Year’s Honours.

In recognition for winning the Trophy, Tiverton Detachment has won a ‘military experience day’, facilitated by the ABF for the benefit of the cadets and adult instructors of the nationally recognised Mid-Devon Army Cadet Detachment.

Tiverton Detachment’s fundraising continues to go from strength to strength, with an absolutely astounding combined total figure of £31,354 raised over the past 8 years. The cadets and adult instructors of Tiverton Detachment have set their sights again on the trophy for next year, and show no signs of stopping their amazing work any time soon.

“Once again, many congratulations. Our charity remains extremely grateful to you and all your cadets for the excellent support you have given us.”

“What a journey the last eight years has been. I am proud of all the cadets that have taken part in the numerous fundraising events we have put together and it has been an honour to have run, walked and climbed beside them all. They all make an extraordinary group of young people and I salute each and every one of them for making a journey that I will never forget.”
