SMI Oates explains the equipment in an Ambulance

Aigburth Cadets from Merseyside Army Cadet Force took part in an amazing evening recently showing all their skills within First Aid whilst being able to include an extra 'prop' in their training.

Sergeant Major Instructor Oates, Detachment Commander at Aigburth who works as an EMT1 for North West Ambulance Service in her employment had the opportunity to take an ambulance to the Detachment to show the Cadets on a Parade Night.

SMI Oates also told the Cadets about the ambulance service and answered any questions they may have had about careers in the Ambulance Service.

The #teamMACF Cadets also had the chance to take part in simulated scenarios to practice and show off their skills at First Aid!

SMI Oates told us she was amazed at all the Cadets who took part in the exercise and that their commitment and skills were of high quality.

SMI Oates said "It just shows how the First Aid qualifications in the Army Cadets brings the best First Aid skills out of the Cadets."

Thank you to North West Ambulance Service!
