Suffolk ACF Officers Mess Dinner 2023

The Suffolk ACF Officers Mess Dinner was held at the Officers Mess Wattisham Station. Saturday 21^st January 2023.

It was great to see so many members and guests on the return of Annual Dinner. Thank you all for your support. We would like to say a big thank you to the staff of the Offices Mess for providing a first-class service and support for the evening, an enjoyable evening was had by all.

We had great pleasure in welcoming Col Anthony Fairbanks-Weston TD CStj DL VR. Honorary Colonel for Suffolk ACF, Deputy Lieutenant of Suffolk also Chairman of the Suffolk Reserve Forces and Cadets Association, and Retired members of SACF.

Presentations were made of the Suffolk Army Cadet Force Framed Picture of “Forward The Guns” By Lucy Kemp-Welch.

To retiring Colonel Andy Smith Commandant of Suffolk ACF and Captain Ian Partridge MSO/AO1. MStJ.

It shows a six-horse team of Suffolk Punch Horses hitched to a medium field gun and limber charging into action.

Lucy Kemp-Welch expresses the monumental power and nobility of the leading pair of Suffolk’s lurching into full gallop to face the uncertainty of life confronting them going into battle.
