Recently Strood Detachment had a visit from their Squadron Sergeant Major SSM Eyles who arrived on their first parade to present SSI Wood with the Alun Boyes award.
The Alun Boyes award is presented yearly to the adult instructor who goes above and beyond for both their fellow instructors and the cadets alike - as SI Boyes once did; Alun Boyes was a person who embodied morale, in his stores he would always be smiling and helping his colleagues and cadets through any issues they had, any time of day.
This award is a testament to SSI Wood's character and individual merit, he always gives 110% and surely deserves this honor.I'm sure you will all join me in congratulating SSI Wood on this outstanding achievement - we are all very proud.Well done Staff!
