Held back following the death of HRH Prince Phillip:
DORSET ACF VIRTUAL TRAINING HOSTS LEADERSHIP EXPERT
Dorset ACF's County virtual training program recently held a presentation and Q&A evening with Lt Colonel Paul Kinkaid (Ret), Managing Director of the Selfless Leadership Group.
Colonel Paul has over 20 years of service in the British Army and began his time as an Army Cadet rising to Cadet Company Sergeant Major in X Company, Hampshire and Isle of Wight ACF.
His presentation was very inspiring to both cadets and adults alike and covered his experiences and examples of types of leadership. From his time spent overseas in conflicts to achieving the coveted Commando green beret and serving at the highest level, he demonstrated via these experiences an inner determination to not give up and to adapt and overcome. In his final years in the British Army Colonel Paul held the post of Head of Training and Development and has carried his world-leading experience into civilian life now sharing his expertise and those experiences.
He was very kind to share his top tips with our cadets and as a testament to his fantastic and humorous presentation, the Q and A that followed was highly interactive with cadets coming forward to ask lots of questions about a wide range of subjects.
Captain Wheatley said " I would like to personally thank Paul for taking the time to come and talk to our cadets and adults about Leadership, especially with regards to his Forensic Leadership theory and leaving traces. I really feel that the real-life examples that he gave us make it easier to understand the impact that we have on each other both positive and negative and that we can learn from both"
