RBL Poppy Appeal 2020

Unable to support the poppy appeal as we usually would, Sussex ACF are fundraising for the RBL in a different way this year.

RBL Poppy Appeal 2020

Usually November is a busy time in Sussex Army Cadet Force.

All over the county uniform is being pressed, boots are being polished and drill is being perfected in preparation for Remembrance services and to support the Royal British Legion with their annual Poppy Appeal.

Each year, cadets take to the streets of their local town, stand in the doorways of supermarkets and take on challenges in order to raise money to support the veterans and serving soldiers for which we all have such great respect. Both cadets and adult volunteers were hugely disappointed this year to not be able to take part in such events but were still keen to show their support.

To do this we have encouraged cadets and their families to download and print a blank poppy and place it in one if the windows at the front of their house. Once completed, we have asked for photos to be submitted to us via our official Facebook page so we can showcase not only the excellent creativity we have in our cadet force, but also symbolise how important we feel it is for us to be supporting the Poppy Appeal each year.

There is a link below where you are able to donate to the RBL Poppy Appeal if you wish.
