"There was a lot of adrenaline, but I stayed calm focused and assisted with the situation."

Former #teamMACF Cadet Megan Tams

A huge well done to former #teamMACF Cadet Megan Tams who was recently praised on a local Facebook page by a member of the general public for her First Aid actions and help during a road accident which took place over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Megan, who now works as a carer in the community since leaving cadets at the age of 18, has told us:

"On my way to work, I saw that a gentleman had been involved in an accident, I can got out of the car to run over, I helped to keep him calm and still until the paramedics arrived.

I called his wife to inform her what had happened and I stayed with the gentleman once the paramedics arrived and until he got on to the ambulance. There was a lot of adrenaline, but I stayed calm focused and assisted with the situation."

"This just goes to show that what we do in cadets lasts a life time and you never know when it will come in handy. Well done Miss Tams"

Colonel David Seddon ACF - Commandant Merseyside ACF

Well done Megan from all of us at Merseyside ACF !
