Adult instructor caught completely off guard by Honorary Colonel.

Col Nick Lock Honorary Colonel of Clwyd and Gwynedd ACF made a surprise promotion during a break in the range day at Sealand Ranges. Adult Instructor Ieuan Jones was called forward to be presented with a new rank slide to mark his promotion to Company Sargent Major.

Ieuan, who was a former senior cadet, became an adult instructor in 2014 became a Sargent Instructor in 2017, and a Staff Sergeant in 2019.

Col Nick said “it was a delight to be able to mark the promotion which is well deserved”

Burma Company OC Will LeCras said “Ieuan is a great asset to the ACF. He has been acting Burma CSM for a while and he is to be congratulated on the promotion.”
