The run up to Remembrance Sunday is always a busy time for Army Cadets, with poppy selling helping them on their way to attaining one of their important goals - a Cadet in the Community tick in the box - as well as providing vital support to The Royal British Legion.
Thus it was that SSI Sara Morrell and PI Melanie Houghton from Wincanton Platoon, our only Army Air Corps-badged unit, along with cadets Cdts Karl Drogan, Jayden Slinn and Tomas Sims, set up their stall at Morrisons for their poppy campaign.
With a wide ranging array of RBL poppies and other attractive goodies Wincanton Platoon, from Salamanca Company, managed to successfully intercept almost everyone leaving the store. Regular re-supply runs were also organised to replace their rapidly depleting stocks.
What more can anyone ask?
