It’s Valentine’s Day this week. We think of Cupid’s arrow flying and the love of our life falling to our charms. Maybe a bit mushy, but the chocolates are nice!

We don’t know a lot about the real Saint Valentine. He was probably a priest when the Roman emperor was persecuting the Christians. One of the things the emperor banned was Christian marriages - Valentine defied this oppression and conducted weddings and hence the Romans put him to death.

Putting the mush aside, we can all share a bit of love to those around us. Life is tough at the moment and we might all feel oppressed that we cannot do the things that are important to us.

So let’s show love, care, respect, and encouragement to all.
