Padre Jo Reid was promoted on 7th March 2022, when she completed six years as an Army Cadet Force Chaplain with Wiltshire ACF. Padres are commissioned as Professionally Qualified Officer [PQOs] and start as Chaplain to the Forces Class 4 [Captain], and Padre Jo is now a CF3 [Major].
Before Padre Jo became a priest in the Church of England she completed 12 years as a Regular soldier in the Royal Signals.
We are delighted that Padre Jo's service to us has been recognised, and wish her all the best as she continues with her role in Wiltshire.
Her promotion took place at Larkhill Detachment, and the Deputy Commandant, Lt Col Peter White was there to hand Padre Jo her new rank slide.
