We are pleased to welcome Danny Crookes to the ACF. Danny, who has recently completed 22 years of Army Reserve service, latterly as the Royal Welsh Cadet Liaison Officer to Clwyd & Gwynedd, will be joining Minden Company.

Danny will be bringing a wealth of experience as during his reserve service he has been a Section 2i/c, Section Commander, Platoon Sergeant, CQMS, CSM, Platoon Commander, Cambrian Patrol WO, and finally a Cadet Liaison Officer. He also commanded and managed Cambrian Patrol Teams to three silver awards and an exchange exercise with Maryland National Guard. He also completed numerous overseas exercises across Europe and the US.

Danny in his day job manages a team of Project Planners for a nuclear decommissioning company based out of Wylfa Power Station on Anglesey and Trawsfynydd Power Station.

Minden Company Commander Wendy Thomas said “we are fortunate that Danny has joined us at Clwyd & Gwynedd ACF, bringing with him his wealth of experience as a very recently retired WO2 with 3 Royal Welsh. The road out of lockdown will be a challenge for us all and we at Minden Company are looking forward to Danny's support as we go forward. His knowledge and leadership skills will go a long to ensure that cadets and adults alike will receive the best opportunities that we can possibly give”.

Commandant Martin L Craven said “Danny is welcomed to Clwyd and Gwynedd where his experience and transferable skills will be a real asset”
