Lord-Lieutenant's Award for Meritorious Service

Major Michael Scollick joined the Army Cadet Force as a cadet in 1969 at the Atherton detachment. He was involved with many activities including sports and choose shooting at regional levels.

Major Scollick became an Adult Sergeant Instructor in 1974 badged 14/20 hussars. He continued to progress within the organisation serving as Detachment Commander at five different units across No 5 (Anzio) Company area and on promotion to Sergeant Major was appointed Company Sergeant Major. In 1993 Major Scollick was again promoted and was successfully selected to the role of County Regimental Sergeant Major.

Major Scollick continued to progress and was commissioned in 1996. He continued to work relentlessly sell the Company and County, achieving the appointment of Company Training Officer and then Officer Commanding of No 1 (Minden) Company. In 2006 Major Scollick was posted and returned to No 5 (Anzio) Company as Officer Commanding. He remained in post until 2012 where he joined the Greater Manchester Army Cadet Force permanent staff team, recently providing continuous support from June 2020 to January 2021 assisting the see CTCA in ensuring the accommodation was fit for purpose for the operational troops who carried out differing support to the National Health Service.

During his extensive career Major Scollick has held every possible rank up to Major. As an adult volunteer he has attended every annual camp since being enrolled. To this day Major Scollick continues to support and deliver to all in the Army Cadet Force.
