At the end of February, Sinfin Detachment (D Company), Derbyshire ACF hosted the Deputy Colonel Cadets 7 Infantry Brigade.
He was welcomed before given a tour of the detachment. Over the evening, he was able to watch lessons in first aid, drill, military knowledge and skill at arms.
He was impressed with the 35 cadets that were on parade at the detachment and offered inspirational words of advice that would help the cadets through their career in the Army Cadet Force. He was happy to see the cadets refreshing their skills and glad to see detachments finally getting back to normality after the pandemic.
The detachment commemorated the evening, by asking Lt Col Smales to join them in the detachment photo with their cadets and instructors.
A good evening had by all.
