Last night saw not one, but four E-Company Detachments assembled together on the Lytchett Detachment Virtual Parade.

Cadets from Wallisdown, Parkstone, and Rossmore, accompanied by their respective Detachment Commanders, joined Lytchett and Upton Detachment for what was to be a great evening of ACF Syllabus theory training and more importantly, Cadets social interaction. Cadets had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with new faces and re-acquaint themselves with the ones they already knew.

Lytchett & Upton DC, SSI Shaun Fudge said; “I am sure this ice-breaking exercise will be a great asset to them once we begin Company Weekends and Camps.

Staying in touch and making new friends is an element that, sadly, has been missing since lockdowns began.“ During the evening, guest Instructor, Wallisdown Detachment Commander SSI Franks delivered a superb and comprehensive lesson on Harbours which was well received and understood by his Class.PI Pocock honed her teaching skills with a confident and knowledgeable lesson on Values and Standards to the Basic Cadets.

Aside from lessons, the main aim of the evening was achieved, a chance for Cadets and Adults alike to get to know each other.

SSI Fudge added; “I would like to thank the generous cooperation from SSI Franks (D.C.Wallisdown), SSI Wheeler Clayton (D.C. Parkstone), and all Cadets, without whom tonight’s meeting would not have been a success"
