Tywyn cadet meets up with fundraising cadets from Berkshire who were making the long walk from Swansea to Snowdon.

Dan Wakelin from 11 Platoon Arberfield and Sam Timms from 6 Platoon Woodly together with twins Joseph and George Hemming, who are both at MPCT Aldershot, are doing a sponsored walk to raise money for the Stroke Association. Dan had five strokes in under an hour when he was just 12. He also fell down 80 concrete steps when it happened. Every year he does something to mark what happened and this year Sam came up with the idea of walking from Swansea to Snowdon to raise money for The Stroke Association.

Louise Hughes the Detachment Commander in Tywyn reported Dan has been nominated for the Lord Lieutenants Cadet in Berkshire so we arranged for Tywyn cadet Elise Faragher who is a Lord Lieutenant's Cadet for Gwynedd to meet up with the intrepid fundraisers during the journey.

Louise said “it was nice to be able to show our support to the fundraisers whilst they were in the area”
