Stockport Detachment, No 3 (Somme) Company were visited recently by Greater Manchester Police Cadets and their leaders with a view to fostering a relationship between the two cadet units.
The police cadets who currently parade at Denton Community College are planning to move to Tameside College Ashton-u-Lyne from March.
During the evening there was a short presentation about the futility of crime. Once the presentation had finished, there was a short break which gave the cadets chance to meet and talk to each other.
Following the break, the cadets were split down into 4 groups with a mix of police and army cadets in each group, where they went through some drill lessons.
The evening was enjoyed by everyone, and it is hoped that future events can be arranged.
