Fitness Friday - Celebrating Star Passes!
Today we offer congratulations to Cdt Aron Rees from Ebbw Vale Detachment who has become the very first of the C25K team to achieve a Basic Star Pass for Physical Training by gaining 12 points! There are four others members, two adults and two cadets, who are halfway towards their certificates too.
Of course, it isn’t all about the certificates - these adults and cadets are working hard to improve their fitness levels and wellbeing, and helping to keep each other on track to reach their targets through their supportive group. They’ve also found some great places to walk and run in their local area, and we’ve seen some incredible photographs of their routes!
Couch to 5k is a plan devised for absolute beginners and, as well as encouraging those who take part to become more physically active, if they record their achievements using a fitness app, it can also support towards their star levels. Although their challenge has already started, they would love to welcome more cadets, adults and families into their group - there is plenty of time to get involved!
