Great news to share. Greater Manchester ACF County Shooting Team has today (5 September) won the HQ Northwest Regional Tri Services Cadet Rifle Competition.
We took five cadets who shot as individuals.
Sgt Goodall – No 2 (Kohima) Company
LCpl Arrowsmith – No 4 (Korea) Company
Cpl Bates – No 5 (Anzio) Company
Cdt Macdonald - No 5 (Anzio) Company
Cpl Dalby - No 5 (Anzio) Company
Four of the cadets entered the team competition, Cdt Macdonald, LCpl Arrowsmith, Cpl Bates, and Sgt Goodall. They came 1st place in the ACF section and 1st place in the overall section beating the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and Sea cadets to 1st place.
Sgt Goodall won Bronze in Overall Individual Shoots and Silver in ACF Shoots.
A fantastic achievement by the whole team.
A huge well done to all the cadets and thank you to the staff involved with the County Shooting Team for coaching the cadets to help get them to this stage. We hope to continue this with all cadets who attend any of the future competition shooting weekends.
