Despite the temporary suspension of face-to-face training, the flame has well and truly been kept alive within F Company, 2nd (NI) Bn ACF.
A new virtual training programme has been introduced to re-engage the Cadets and CFAV’s, with lessons being made as interactive and as enjoyable as possible to ensure maximum participation and engagement from the Company.
Cadets have participated in lessons covering a range of topics including; Fieldcraft, Military Knowledge and Navigation all of which have had a great turnout and success to date.
The Company Commander, Capt McLelland is delighted with the uptake and would like to thank the Platoon Commanders; SI Hamilton, SI Kelly and SI Tomlinson, who along with their staff have worked tremendously hard to inspire the cadets to achieve during lockdown.
Not only has the training been a success, but a virtual recruitment drive has also been held by the Coy HQ staff and an outstanding 9 new cadets have been recruited, all of which are taking part in the virtual training.
A huge well done to F Company HQ, CFAV’s and Cadet’s - your continued efforts to keep the flame alive have most certainly not gone unnoticed.
