DORSET ACF CADETS AND CFAVS ACHIEVE IMPRESSIVE RESULTS FOR DOFE VOLUNTEERING OVER THE YEAR FROM APRIL 2020 TO MARCH 2021.

County DofE Officer; Capt Caroline Wheatley said;

"It has been a difficult 18 months for us all and I wish to pass on some very good news that we have received.

During this time many Dorset ACF Cadets and CFAV's have continued with their DofE awards and over 30 have achieved the 2020/21 Certificate of Achievement in recognition of passing 3 of their sections in lockdown.

This week we received our 'Annual Social Value Certificate' from DofE National HQ. This reflects the number of hours that Dorset Cadets and CFAV's have achieved in their volunteering section and the social value it signifies. A fantastic total of 1157 hrs volunteering which equals £5, 264.35 of Social Value."

Capt Wheatley added; "In such difficult times we can be very proud of their achievements and I congratulate everyone for their efforts and for not giving up as it would have been so easy to do."

Also joining in the congratulations is the latest addition to the Dorset ACF DofE Family, "Duke", our PR Officers #EveryCadetBear - He will be popping up on as many of the DofE posts he can.
