Last weekend, 24 cadets along with their Cadet Force Adult Volunteers completed two days of weapons training and testing at Sinfin Detachment, Derby.
The two days involved getting to grips with the weapons system; including learning how to clean the rifle, taking the rifle apart, attaching a sling, learning the various positions to fire the weapon and most importantly safe handling rules.
By the end of the weekend, cadets were able to pass off their weapon handling tests showing their proficiency and confidence in the weapon system.
A huge well done to all the cadets that attended, and thanks to the staff that led the weekend to make it successful for the cadets. Thanks to SI Panter for the photographs.
