Day 9
We are all starting to mention the “H” word and are frantically looking at getting our cadets tested and passed their ACS subjects in order to be in a position to give as many badges and certificates out as possible.
Today, it didn’t rain which meant that that we all could dry out a bit, which was good news for the 2 stars as they were down on the water, taking part in activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking and rafting.
Our 3 stars completed their expedition but for those who are currently doing there DofE they have to walk an extra day.
Our 1 stars completed day 1 of their 2 day expedition as well as finishing their military skills package.
Today, the Fusilier, PWRR and Rifles cadets all commemorated Minden Day which is a regimental battle honour dating back to 1759. Our cadets display the commemoration depending on the affiliated regiment by wearing red & yellow roses, red roses or white roses in their headdress.
We will be starting to publish details for Friday over the next couple of days.
