Suffolk ACF Cdt Cpl Louise Chauvet recently took part in the CVQO Westminster Award Selection Event. She has kindly written a short report on her experience
"Upon arriving at the location, we were almost immediately put into our teams and thrown into activities to help us form into a collaborative unit. I was placed in a team with seven of the other amazing participants and we gelled straight away.
Over the next few days, we were taken out of our comfort zones in a multitude of fun and exciting ways that pushed us as a newly formed team to adapt and succeed. Both my mental agility and physical ability were put to the test and although it was very challenging, it was one of the best experiences I have been a part of.
All the adults were absolutely incredible: they were so welcoming and gave helpful feedback in order for us to improve throughout the event. I am so grateful for all of their hard work in making the camp possible."
