An army marches on it's stomach so they say - have you got a passion for food and/or experience of being a chef/cook and are looking for some part-time work?

Kent Army Cadet Force are looking for new staff to provide assistance to their catering team in the busy kitchen at their Weekend Training Centre near Folkestone, Kent. The team is undergoing a period of expansion to deliver high quality food for training weekends and the occasional function evening.

The commitment will be between 6-12 weekends a year, full training will be provided and you'll also have the chance to earn other qualifications within the cadets and become an adult instructor (Cadet Force Adult Volunteer, if you wish but it's not compulsory).

An allowance will be paid, and you will need your own transport.

You'll be working around young people so will have to undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks including your suitability to work with us in the cadets.

Sergeant Major Instructor Simon Kenmure currently heads up the catering team, he said:

"You'll have a passion for delivering food to high standard whilst working in a supportive team. The successful candidates will be trained up in Level 2 food safety and basic cooking techniques. No previous experience required as full training will be given to the right people.

It's a great opportunity for someone to join our fun but hardworking team to keep the adults and cadets fed during their training weekends."

To find out more information about the role please complete this form and we'll be in touch.
