Penygroes Detachment Commander Jess Pugh had the privilege of attending the Queens Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour) in London thanks to a competition run by The Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT).
The ACCT held a national competition throughout March giving individuals an opportunity to nominate Cadets and Adult Volunteers they felt deserved some recognition.
Jess was one of eight lucky winners from across the UK to be selected to attend the parade.
Jess reported, “The visit to London was one of the best trips, I've always said I've wanted to go and watch the trooping the colour but would never have thought I would win tickets and be going this year for the Platinum Jubilee, it was also nice to go to the Honourable Artillery Company for the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK excellence awards to be able to go around the museum and to be presented the tickets also have a Queen's afternoon tea.”
