A great day spent with Clifton Detachment, No 4 (Korea) Company, on their Remembrance Day Parade.

There were huge crowds of people who came out to pay their respects in Swinton. The cadets behaviour was impeccable and are a credit to Greater Manchester ACF. The families came to watch them, and all were very proud.

After the Parade the cadets and their families were invited by the Army Reserves back to Clifton Army Reserve Centre, which is also the home of Clifton Detachment.

On arrival at the drill hall, it was set out for everyone to enjoy some food. The Officer Commanding, Major Charlotte Joyce from 127 Divisional Support Company (REME), which is part of 101 Force Support Battalion (REME), welcomed the cadets and their families and thanked everyone for taking part in the parade alongside the reserve soldiers from her company. Major Joyce then invited everyone to enjoy the food.

The food was lovely, curry, lasagne, homemade cheese and onion pie and more. All was cooked by a chef in the kitchen. I had the cheese and onion pie which was lovely. Hopefully I’ll be invited back again to sample some more!

A fabulous display in the drill hall by the Army Reserves.

Thank you to SSI Adele Waring, Detachment Commander of Clifton for a great day. Your cadets are a credit to you.
