Cadets gathered tonight at Prince Charles Cadet Centre in Aberdeen to say goodbye to one of their Cadet Colleagues. After 5 and a half years Cpl Dalgarno is hanging up his marching boots having attained the age of 18 but not for long as he has already decided he wishes to return as a CFAV.
Commented Col Gordon Rae Battalion Commandant. "Cpl Dalgarno provided an inspiration to Cadets and CFAV's alike with his continual fund-raising efforts during lockdown. Fund-raising which would have seen cadets enjoy a trip to Kenya had we not been struck by a global pandemic. Cpl Dalgarno embodies the Values and Standards of the Army Cadet Force and we look forward to see him develop as an inspirational Cadet Force Adult Volunteer".
On behalf of the Battalion Col Rae presented Cpl Dalgarno with a Pipe Banner detailing his service with the Battalion all in front of his cadet colleagues and one very proud grandmother.
