On 9th December, Major Geoff Hammond, CEO Cambridgeshire ACF, and Mrs Kirsty Knowles, Admin Officer, assisted the Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Mrs Julie Spence OBE QPM, with the HRH The Princess of Wales Satellite Carol Service. This service was to reflect and recognise those people and organisations within the community that had gone above and beyond to support others throughout the year. This request by our Lord Lieutenant saw both Mrs Knowles and the CEO meeting and seating 200 invited guest in St John the Baptist Church, Peterborough.

The service was supported by the Royal Foundation of HRH The Princess of Wales and was one of a select number of events around the Country leading up to the carol service hosted by the Princess of Wales at Westminster Abbey on the 15 December 2022.
This was a community carol service, with readings by our Lord Lieutenant and The Dean of Peterborough, also a reading from the Quran by Ayman Datoo and a blessing by Dr Singh DL. Prayers were finalised by the Archdeacon of Oakham and the Bishop of Peterborough. All guests then assembled to enjoy mulled apple juice and mince pies.

Each of the Cadet forces were asked to trawl its ranks and select 5 adults and 10 cadets who had gone above and beyond, to attend the service in addition to the Lord Lieutenant's Cadets.
