SMI Debbie Callaghan, County PRO Greater Manchester ACF
Capt Fiona Short and SSI Ady Hazelhurst will be joining Jordan Wylie, National Army Cadet Ambassador, Extreme Adventurer & International Best Selling Author, to raise funds for two charities. For more on Jordan please click here.
During the month of August Jordan plans to virtually run from the North Pole to the South Pole on a route which has been designed by Oxfordshire ACF.
Later this year Jordan will be visiting Antarctica and the North Pole in person. The virtual run in the month of August is getting him in practice of what’s ahead.
Two of our amazing adult volunteers are taking part in the Polar Challenge during this month (August) to help raise money for two of Jordan’s selected charities. Frontline Children and the Mathew Bacon Bursary which benefits cadets. The plan is to walk or run 100km during the month.
Both have set up a give penny fundraising page to raise funds. Capt Short, No 5 (Anzio) Company, plans to raise money for Frontline Children and SSI Hazelhurst, No 3 (Somme) Company, plans to raise funds for the ACFA Matthew Bacon Bursary fund.
For more on the charities and what they are see below:

The challenge is open to every cadet and adult volunteer. If you would like to sign up and take part you can choose to either walk or run and set a target distance. To take part click this link. To raise money for the ACF select the Army Cadet Force Association as your chosen charity.
Once completed you will receive a digital Running Dangerously - The Polar Edition medal.
The top 10 fundraisers for each charity will receive a t-shirt, and the top overall fundraiser will win an Ultimate Montane Adventure Running Bundle.
Good luck to Capt Short and SSI Hazelhurst and for everyone else taking part.
