During April cadets from Greater Manchester ACF attended the Army Cadets National Music Camp at Otterburn. The music camp gives cadets from around the UK the opportunity to come together to learn and further develop their skills in music. Cadets travelled from as far away as the Orkney Islands and Gibraltar, which is a British overseas territory.

Great achievements for two cadets from Greater Manchester ACF Corps Of Drums.

4* Corps of Drums - Best Cadet Cpl Pennington.

Col Mike Neville, Commandant Army Cadet Music "Cpl Pennington has put in exceptional hard work, helping the team through a challenging week."

After a lot of competition for the position of Cadet Senior Drum Major, the winner was Drum Major Isherwood.

Cadet Cpl Pennington from Greater Manchester ACF Corps of Drums, said "To everyone who attended the music camp. I know there were challenges but we made it through. Super proud of all of you. A massive congratulations to the new Senior Drum Major - Drum Major Isherwood. I would also like to say a massive thank you to Lt Jess Pugh for all her hard work getting us to camp and to SSI Jose for the maltesers 'pick me up."

Col Catherine Harrison, Commandant said "Well done to all - and, in particular, to Cpl Pennington and Drum Major Isherwood from Greater Manchester ACF. Very proud to see what you both achieved."
