Cadets arrive at Crowborough camp
It's out First full day of AC22
The 306 cadets of attending Essex AC22 arrived in Crowborough safely this morning. After a few wrong turns taken by coach drivers by 1130 everyone had arrived in the delightful sunshine of camp.
After arriving Cadets enjoyed a cooked lunch before falling in for the commandants Parade. This year a huge part of the parade was the presentation of over 50 Queens Jubilee medals to hard working volunteers. The theme of the Queens Jubilee was also present as a special Ariel Photo of the county was taken (we promise you can see it later!)
Once the parades and breifings were over and a hot dinner was served the cadets got ready for tomorrows training, which will see some cadets heading out on a three day field training exercise.
Of course our cadets had some down time too and a chance to mix and make new friends, these new friendships will only grow stronger as camp progresses.
