After completing the Royal College of Nursing Prince of Wales Cadet Scheme in August 2022, Cadet Sergeant Charlie Karim has become an Ambassador for the scheme.

Sgt Karim enrolled on the first of its kind for Durham ACF and completed training and placements for a number of months in order to achieve his certification and Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps beret and badge.

After completing the qualification, Sgt Karim was asked to become an Ambassador for the course and has recently appeared in the RCN Prince of Wales Nursing Cadet Scheme's newsletter.

I enjoyed every minute of it. I was blown away by what it had to offer. It's such a great opportunity for young people to understand how the health care system works and the amount of jobs the health industry has to offer.
