Cadet Forces Warrant presented by Hon Col Sharman Birtles, Vice Lord Lt, DL, JP.
The Cadet Forces Warrant was introduced in 2020 and is awarded to adult volunteers on promotion to Sergeant Major Instructor (SMI) in the Army Cadets. This includes those who have already achieved and holds the rank of SMI.
The Cadet Forces Warrant recognises the value placed by the MOD on our senior non-commissioned Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) and the effort and achievement required to reach this rank.
CFAV’s promoted to this rank will receive the warrant in the future.
Presentations were also made to our Commandant, Col Catherine Harrison, Lt Col Billy Royle and RSMI Douglas Craddock for taking part in the Army Cadets setting a Guinness World Record for having the most people completing an online mental health awareness course in 24 hours.
The final presentation was made to former Cadet RSM Logan Walter for his hard work during lockdown. Logan will now return to Greater Manchester ACF as an adult volunteer.
