Bridlington Detachment has received 20 new MTP Waterproof Jackets, kindly donated by Mayor Liam Dealtry and Bridlington Town Council.
From the Detachment Commander, Staff Sergeant Rachael Hooper:
‘’Mayor Liam Dealtry has always been an avid supporter and champion for the local cadet force groups, as a veteran of the Royal Pioneer Corps and Ex volunteer himself.
During his mayoral year his chosen charities were the Cadet Forces of Bridlington. After an amazing effort all four cadet forces received over £700 each.
I asked the cadets what equipment they would like from the donation, and the answer was unanimous. They wanted to replace our old style Waterproof jackets. The cadets take great pride in representing the ACF in Bridlington, and they want to look their best on Parades when the weather is poor, such as Remembrance.
We will be donating our current jackets to another ACF Detachment, Ensuring more cadets benefit and have access to vital equipment.
We would like to thank Mayor Liam Dealtry and Bridlington Town Council for their continued support. The cadets look forward to using the jackets on Field exercises and during Parades in our local community.’’
