Braving the Shave!
Yesterday, Gabriel Rakestrow ‘braved the shave’ to raise much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, and so joins the hall of fame of an inspiration group of people who, since 2015, have raised almost £23 million between them.
These much needed funds could pay for 140 specialist nurses for three years! The ‘shavers’ as they are known, all have their own reasons and stories as to why they decide to take part. For Gabriel, it is in memory of loved ones from his family, and to raise money to give others the support to fight cancer and to help find a cure. The shave took place at The Men’s Hair Lounge in Chepstow, where stylist Jodie Prince donated her time for the cause. Gabriel, a member of Caldicott Detachment, has already smashed his fundraising target, and we hope that his total continues to grow. We are incredibly proud of everything that he has achieved.Congratulations Cadet Rakestrow - you are most certainly an inspiration to us all!
