Cadets & Staff from Bolton (Royal Artillery) Detachment, No 5 (Anzio) Company, were invited to be part of a welcome party for HM King Charles III and The Queen Consort who visited Bolton today to mark the 150th anniversary of Bolton Town Hall.
HM King Charles III and The Queen Consort was welcomed on arrival by The Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester Mrs Diane Hawkins DL JP and The Vice Lord-Lieutenant Mrs Sharman Birtles MBE JP DL, our Honorary Colonel.
After walking around meeting local school children and their teachers, King Charles III and The Queen Consort were taken up the steps to inside the Town Hall to meet representatives of the community and view some exhibitions from the opening of the Town Hall 150 years ago.
Our cadets were really excited to be so close to Their Majesties, with two cadets getting to shake The Kings hand who thanked the young people who lined the steps of the Town Hall.
A proud day for Greater Manchester ACF to be invited and be part of the Royal Visit by HM The King and Queen Consort.
