2 Highlanders were delighted to host His Majesty's Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire Mr Andrew Simpson to perform the official opening of the newly completed Banff Detachment. The ceremony was attended by HRFCA executives, local councillors and representatives of local schools. After the Lord lieutenant had addressed those present and unveiled a plaque to commemorate the occasion he spoke at length to the cadets and adult volunteers present. Our grateful thanks to The Lord Lieutenant for performing the official opening and to Highland Reserve Forces and Cadets Association whose help and commitment ensured this fantastic facility is now in use and able to deliver and enhance the cadet experience.
