B COMPANY MARKS REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY IN NORTH AND WEST YORKS

Across the Yorkshire (N&W) ACF area, cadets and Adult Volunteers were out in force last weekend to mark Remembrance Sunday. As the only Company with detachments in both Counties, B Company had a unique role to play.

B Company is made up of nine detachments, two of which are in West Yorkshire, with the remaining seven being in North Yorkshire.

The largest contingent (made up of cadets from the four York-based detachments) was on parade through the historic city. Selby Detachment proudly participated in their town's parade, Woodlesford and Castleford paraded in the Leeds suburb, and Harrogate and Knaresborough combined to march in the Harrogate parade. This was a particularly notable occasion for the Knaresborough cadets as it was their first parade since the unit was reestablished six months ago.

In addition, Castleford Detachment's Cadet Sgt Natasha Chamberlain was busy in Leeds! In one of her first public roles since becoming the Lord Lieutenant's Cadet (West Yorkshire), she was assisting the Lord Lieutenant and also delivered a public address to the gathered crowd.

Well done to everyone - in B Company and beyond - who took part in their local parades and paid their respects to our veterans.
