A real community gesture to Hyde Detachment.

Following a request to The Community Champion, Paul Moody from Asda Supermarket in Hyde. Hyde Detachment No 3 (Somme) Company have been awarded £500. This money will be used to offer new opportunities to the cadets of Hyde Detachment.

Opportunities that will allow cadets to experience new things and activities that they can only do by being in the army cadet force.

Asda Green Token Scheme

Each year, Asda’s charity, the Asda Foundation, invests £1million into local communities through Green Token Giving, supporting thousands of local good causes. Hyde Detachment was voted the favourite local cause by the local community of Hyde.

SSI Vickie Mansell said "Thank you to everyone for your vote. The money we have very kindly received from Asda will help to buy equipment that will benefit the cadets greatly and add to the positive cadet experience for them all."
